Over the past 12 years, God has used ReachFM to reach communities across the state of Florida with an inspiring message of hope and encouragement through the gospel of Jesus Christ. Today we celebrate God’s faithfulness for the relationships that have been built and the countless lives changed through music, teachings, and ministry partnership.
As a faithful listener, you are part of the ReachFM family, so we wanted you to know the latest news regarding the station. March 30 was ReachFM’s last day programming in its current format on all of its frequencies. Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale, which founded and operated ReachFM, has made the decision to focus its ministry efforts and resources on other ways to advance its mission of connecting people to God, people to people, and people to outreach.
We thank you, as a listener and supporter, for being part of this ministry. Because of you, we believe Florida has been forever changed, communities have been brought together, families have been healed, Christians have grown stronger in their faith, and thousands of lives have been changed for eternity. It has been our privilege to serve you and we are confident that God will continue to do amazing things in the communities we have been privileged to serve.

“Greater things are yet to come and greater things are still to be done in this city.”—Chris Tomlin
ReachFM was born in 2004 as a ministry outreach of Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale, bringing Christian music and Bible teaching to communities throughout Florida. The impact of this radio ministry has been beyond measure—with countless lives changed from despair to hope, ministries and churches strengthened, and great events like ReachFest uniting whole communities in a celebration of faith.
Calvary Chapel recently made the decision to sell ReachFM and focus more of its resources on other ways to continue the church’s mission of connecting people to God, connecting people to people, and connecting people to outreach.
The staff of ReachFM and the leadership of Calvary Chapel are actively working to transfer ownership and operation of ReachFM’s various frequencies as much as possible to other Christian radio ministries. More information about changes to the programming format on ReachFM’s current frequencies will be available soon.
March 30 was ReachFM’s last day of programming in its current format. ReachFM’s staff and on-air hosts will be moving on to new opportunities with the full support and blessing of Calvary Chapel.
ReachFM and Calvary Chapel wish to thank countless listeners, business underwriters, churches, and other ministries for their prayers and financial support. Many people throughout Florida have shared the life-changing impact that ReachFM has had for them in the past 12 years, and we are thankful for the partnerships that have helped to make this ministry possible.
Why is ReachFM being sold?
ReachFM was founded as a ministry of Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale and the church has always maintained responsibility for the operating costs of the station. With other radio ministries reaching the same areas covered by ReachFM, leadership determined it would be wise to invest in other creative ministry opportunities, leaving more established radio ministries to do what they do so well.
Who is taking over the station?
More than one radio ministry will be taking over the operation of various ReachFM frequencies, so the answer will be different depending on where you listen. All the arrangements have not been completed, but more news will be available at ReachFM.org as we confirm the changes.
When will ReachFM go off the air?
Our programming format with music programs hosted by Rhonda and Matt, RuthieJ, Hudson, and Anitra, ended on March 30. A simplified format of worship music will continue on our current frequencies until all stations are acquired by other broadcasters.
What about Calvary's live services? Will they still be airing?
Yes, we will continue to air the live teachings for the foreseeable future.
What happens to my financial support as a ReachFM donor?
ReachFM is very thankful for hundreds of listeners who support the station financially. Your gifts are always considered voluntary, and no one is bound to continue giving to the station. As soon as the decision was made to sell the station, leadership agreed not to conduct another Share-A-Thon or any other proactive fundraising appeals for listener support. However, recurring gifts from Team 360 members and voluntary gifts received from others have continued to be processed as ReachFM programming and ministry efforts continue daily.
No regular monthly contributions will be manually processed after March 30. Regular donors who have set up automatic withdrawals themselves via the giving page on ReachFM.org or CalvaryFTL.org may sign in to their personal giving accounts to change or discontinue giving at any time.
Any donor who chooses to continue giving to help cover operational costs until another ministry assumes ownership of our frequencies may do so voluntarily.
Donors who have questions about how to change their giving status are invited to send a message to email@example.com or to call 1-877-732-2400. If you do not reach a staff member directly, please leave full contact info along with your message so that we may respond to you promptly.
ReachFM’s regular schedule of business underwriting announcements will end with the format change on March 30. Business underwriters are being contacted directly to arrange whatever changes they may request to their payments and the schedule for their underwriting announcements.
When will the changes be completed?
Any change in ownership and operation of a radio station must go through a formal process and be approved by the FCC before becoming final. For this reason, it is not possible now to say exactly when the changes will take place. We will plan to provide updated information posted to ReachFM.org as it becomes available.
What changes are ahead for the ReachFM staff?
Each staff member is praying and looking for God’s direction in what comes next. Some may continue in ministry with organizations that are acquiring ReachFM stations. Others are considering a different role with Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale or other local ministries. Each person will receive assistance and support in his or her transition from Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale.
